Is a guide..?

A guide is not necessary at Hearne.  Upon arrival, Don goes over the lake quite well with everyone and a map of the lake is provided.

We have been catch and release since our opening in 98 and the good fishing starts at the dock. No need to travel miles to get in some good fishing.

This pays off when wishing to go back out after dinner in the Land Of the Midnight Sun.

Don is also available to anyone wishing to accompany him in his personal boat. (doesn't take much coxing.

What is the ... ?

What do I ... ?

Never forget  personal items, snacks for boat, rain gear, Polaroid sun glasses, rods, reels,

When is ... ?

Depending on your target species and your fishing technique the best time varies.  Don will personally spend sufficient time conversing with you before booking to insure the best trip available.

Check out the fishing pages and species on this site and it will supply you with answers to your questions and may trigger more questions..

There are no stupid questions when planning  a fly in trip trip.

Do you have a ... ?

Yes, please keep the weight down to total 75 lbs. See picture of the "Ideal Packer" .  If we have to upgrade the size of the plane because of your excess baggage a charge will apply.  Keep in mind that the weeks fresh grocery supplies also have to board same plane as you. Plus any alcohol you bring along. We supply the mix.  Try to purchase plastic bottles and cans to reduce the weight.

During July and August you may be able to bring more if arranged in advance. We use Cessna 185 for up to 2 guests

Cessna Caravan up to 7 guests

Single Turbo Otter up to 9 guests

This allows for a little more  extra baggage than most lodges but you still have to be sensitive towards your total weight. (body and gear) ouch!

You can view all these planes and more at http://www.airtindi.com
